How much is a Thai massage in Barcelona?

Is 90 minutes better value?

Per minute, yes. An hour of traditional costs 65 € to 75 €, and the extra half hour 20 € to 25 € more. Short sessions work the other way: 30 minutes of back and neck massage costs 45 €, more than half the price of an hour.

Which one to choose?

The classic

Traditional

No oil, and you stay dressed in loose clothes; many studios lend you some. The therapist presses with palms, thumbs, elbows and knees, and moves you through stretches. It's firm and active.

The gentlest

With oil

Long, slow strokes with oil and fewer stretches. The gentlest of the Thai styles, a good choice for a first time or just to relax. You undress to your underwear and stay covered with a towel.

5 € to 10 € more per hour

Deep tissue

Slow, strong pressure on tight spots, such as knots in the back and shoulders. It can be intense: if it is too much, say so at the time.

Only one of the three studios does couples massage: Lunala Thai Massage, 130 € for 60 minutes, for both of you.
